Kotoko get GHC50,000 cash boost for Africa

Asante Kotoko have received a GHC50,000 cash support Budget Cash and Carry Limited, distributors of Blues Jeans energy drink for their Africa campaign.

The two-time African champions will host Liberian side Barrack Young Controllers on Sunday in the first leg of the first qualifying round on Sunday at home.

“Our donation is inspired by the continuous demand of Otumfuo for Kotoko to bring an Africa trophy to him,” Managing Director of Budget Cash and Carry," Nana Egyir Aggrey said.

“And this is our modest way of putting our shoulder to the wheel to push Kotoko forward.

“We are not into making promises but I want to assure you that if you go and do well, Blue Jeans will reward you mightily far above your expectations.’’

Kotoko warmed up for the tie with a 3-0 win over lower division side First Klaas FC in the MTN FA Cup round of 32 tie.
