I had heard a lot about Yahaya's play; but had never watch his play until yesterday. Well I find him an average player who has the potential to be a top class player if and only if he will stay focus in his play. For me I felt disappointed when he messed up easy to score than to miss chances. He intermittently lost focus and was lackadaisical in some of his plays. He should have avoided attracting the card by his simulation antics.

He needs to shave and work on his upkeep. This rugged appearance will enable referees to focus on him and pound him with cards at the World Cup.

This speaks to our level of indiscipline that cripples our games later in all tournaments.
You cant afford "to lose" your first team to irrelevant and silly cards in competitions.

You are the only person who has said something sensible in your comment. I don't know exactly what this guy has done to Ghanaians for them to pounce so hard on him. The guy is working so hard running up and down without help and people are still not happy. Although he makes mistakes like everyone because of his inexperience at international games, he has no discipline problems whatsoever as alleged by some people here. Yahaya has not argued with any player or referee in this tournament. He only needs to be talked to by the coach about certain tricks in international games such as not lying flat down when fouled in the penalty area or not using too much of his upper body because of his enormous strength. He is definitely the best player in the local Black Stars but as usual he is a victim of striker bashing, a uncalled for stupid behavior of Ghanaians.

I don't care whatever award he won but more importantly, he needs to up his game and stop falling like a pack of cards.
