Accra Hearts of Oak have commended Wa All Stars for their great show last Sunday which enabled them (Wa All Stars) to secure a 3-0 win against them in Wa.
It was their biggest win against the Phobians since the Wa lads joined the elite bracket six seasons ago.
Commending the Wa side on behalf of the Hearts management, Muheeb Saeed, Public Relations Officer of the club told the Daily Graphic that, “Wa All Stars really played their hearts out and didn’t allow us to play our normal game and I think the officiating was perfect as well”.
He said most of the club’s fans were disappointed, considering the fact that their rivals Kumasi Asante Kotoko have stretched the grap to a healthy seven points.
Muheeb said: “We as management cannot pretend things are good now when they are not”.
“We know this scoreline isn’t acceptable because of the club’s status but I’m appealing to our fans to rally behind us in these difficult times,” Muheeb added.
Meanwhile, the Hearts public relations officer has attributed their loss to injuries to players such as Kofi Abanga, Emmanuel Hayford, Romeo Agban and goalkeeper Philemon Mcarthy.
“Most of our regular players did not play last Sunday and I think the harmattan too affected us.
But management will work hard during the break to enable the team to resume on a winning note," Muheeb stated.
