Ofori delighted with Amidaus re-start

Young defender, Emmanuel Ofori Teyehunmeh is singing the praises of his Amidaus Professionals teammates following their winning start to the second round of their maiden Ghanaian top flight season.

Amidaus were sensational in the first round maintaining a top half place all season relying on the goals of on-loan Asante Kotoko star midfielder, Yahaya Mohammed and eventually ending the first half of the season in the Top 6.

On Saturday, they were at it again as the Glo Ghana Premier League returned with the Match Day 16 fixtures.

Yahaya Mohammed again returned with a bang striking home his goal king leading 11th goal of the campaign as Amidaus notched a 3-1 win over RTU in Kumasi to further consolidate their fight for a shock Top 4 finish.

And young Ofori, also on loan from Berekum Chelsea, believes they can achieve the improbable.

“We thank almighty God for having mercy on us and giving us all this important victory. Now we have to keep our focus and work harder than before because there are more tough matches coming up. We need to improve everyday but we are happy where we are now,” the 18 year old Ofori told 90 MINUTES.
