CAF CL: 30-man Kotoko contingent to leave for Malabo

Asante Kotoko head coach Mas-Ud Dramani has picked his final 18-man squad for Wednesday afternoon’s trip to Equatorial Guinea to honour the second leg match of the preliminary stage of the 2013 CAF Champions League against Sony Ela Nguema in Malabo.

The Ghanaian champions who hold a first leg advantage after whitewashing the EquatoGuineans 7-0 in Kumasi a fortnight ago will embark on the trip with a 30-man contingent with the Chairman of the Ashanti Regional Football Association and an Executive member of the GFA serving as the leader of delegation.

Four members of the technical team, three management members, a retired Kotoko player and two media personnel (one each from Kotoko Express and GTV) complete the Kotoko contingent for the Malabo journey.

The match will be played at the multi-purpose Nuevo Estadio de Malabo which seats 15,250 fans on Saturday, March 2.

Kotoko’s 18-man squad:

Goalkeepers: Isaac Amoako, Soulama Abdoulaye

Defenders: Akwasi Bobie Ansah, Joseph Ochaya, Ohene Brenya, Kwabena Adusei, Rashid Sumaila, Ben Adama Banh, Amos Frimpong

Midfielders: Prince Baffoe, Michael Akuffu, Richard Mpong, Michael Helegbe, David Ofei, Godfred Asante

Attackers: Kofi Nti Boakye, Yussif Abdul Aziz, Seidu Bancey

Technical team: Coach Mas-Ud Didi Dramani (Head coach), Coach Henry wellington (Assistant coach), Godwin Ablordey (Team manager), Dr. Kwaku Boateng (Team doctor), Jerry Pratt Newton (Team physiotherapist)

The others members of the contingent include Osei Tutu Agyemang (leader of delegation), Executive Chairman, Dr. K. K Sarpong, International Relations Consultant, Kwame Baah Nuakoh and Operations Manager, Ernest Owusu Ansah.

Making up the Kotoko contingent is club legend Abdul Razak who the lot for management's initiative to include a distinguished retired player for away trips in the CAF Champions League fell on.
