Black Stars striker Abdul Majeed Waris has reiterated their seriousness attached to the upcoming double-header of friendlies in the USA.

The Black Stars are set to face Mexico at Houston's NRG Stadium in Texas on June 28, after which they play the USA at the Pratt & Whitney Stadium in East Hartford, Connecticut three days later.

The four-time African champions will use both matches as preparatory fixtures ahead of their 2018 Fifa World Cup qualifier against Congo in August.

"We are all ready," Waris said, according to Football Ghana.

"As you can see training has been very intense and all the players are giving hundred per cent.

"Some people might feel this game is not important but for the team, this is very important and we will attach all seriousness to it."

Waris is among 22 players listed by Ghana coach James Kwesi Appiah for the games.

The Lorient frontman, who made his international debut against Chile in 2012, has netted four times in over 20 appearances for the Black Stars.
