'Eddie Ansah and I understand each other'

Accra Hearts of Oak attaché coach Can Vanli has lauded his working relationship with Eddie Ansah, adding that they complement each other to give the players confidence.

The Turkish trainer was roped into the technical team to offer assistance to caretaker coach Eddie Ansah just before the league encounter with Liberty Professionals, and since his inclusion into the team he has worked hand-in-hand with Ansah to steer the team to a three-game unbeaten run.

However, Can Vanli has praised his working relationship with Eddie Ansah, and insists they are working together all the time to help the team achieve its target.

"We are coaches with experience and so we must show good relationship in front of the players to give them confidence. It is very, very, important to show this: that we are a team; a technical staff team," Vanli told the club’s website.

"Working with Coach Eddie Ansah, as I said three weeks before, is very, very helpful and

very good. We complement each other very nice.

He stressed: “We are talking every time about what we will do [on the field of play] in practice. And really, nobody is there doing something for his own ego; we are working for our team, we are working for Hearts of Oak – and that is the only thing that counts.

"I am very, very happy to work with Eddie Ansah in the last couple of weeks. It is very nice; there's proof we have changed a lot of things in positive ways.

“This is team work. You cannot do it alone; it is not possible and about it I am very happy."

The Phobians on Sunday will host Berekum Chelsea on match day 29 of the First Capital Plus Bank Premier at the Accra sports stadium.
