Former Hassacas Ladies Midfielder Jennifer ‘kaka’ Cudjoe has expressed excitement for her nomination as the Best Female Footballer of the Year by the Sports Writers of Association of Ghana (SWAG).

The 40th edition of the SWAG awards scheduled to take place on October 3, at the Banquet Hall seeks to honor distinguished sports men and women in Ghana in the various disciplines.

The nominees include athletes, referees and sports administrators who distinguished themselves in the 2014 sporting calendar.

Cudjoe told the GNA Sports that ‘‘I’m excited and happy to be nominated as the female best footballer of the year.

Even though I put up an excellent performance last year for my club and country, the nomination came as a surprise to me’’.

The 21-year old who won the 2015 ALL STAR award for her outstanding performance in the United States (US) Women Professional Semi League (WPSL) with California Storms has tasked herself to work much harder saying ‘‘ I have so much to give myself and any club I join when I turn a professional.

"And this award will motivate me to train and work harder and it will be one of the most fondest memories in my life’’. She noted.

The California Storms Midfielder expressed gratitude to her former club Hasaacas management and playing body, family and friends for their unflinching support and to SWAG for the recognition.
