Hearts to play Medeama in two leg friendly

The Management of both Accra Hearts of Oak and SC Medeama has agreed to play a two legged friendly match so as to keep the teams active in the wake of the never commencing 2014/2015 football season.

The decision was arrived at early this week with Hearts hosting Medeama first at the Accra sports stadium on Sunday 2nd November with the return leg in Tarkwa Park the following Sunday 9th November 2014.

A member of the Hearts of Oak Management who revealed this to sportscrusader.com mentioned that this decision has been necessitated due to the continual delay in the commencement of the league and will continue till the season proper starts.

“We can’t sit down idle and just train so we want to engage other premiership Clubs in series of friendly matches so that our boys will be sharp when the league starts.”

“The team is very fired up and the technical team is not resting on their oars to make sure that all loop holes are sealed before the season starts.”

He explained that since most of the opponents they were going to face in the season will be the first division as well as other premier league teams, they have started engaging them so as to make sure that the league will be easy.

“We played Kotoko and if you ask the technical team they can confidently say that they identified a few mistakes in the team which they have rectified.”

“Now we are going to play Medeama, and they are also a very formidable side that will give us the needed competition, so I think it’s an ongoing activity till the season commences.
