I donâ??t owe Hearts - Ahmed Toure

Kumasi Asante Kotoko striker, Ahmed Toure, has debunked reports making the rounds that he owes rivals Accra Hearts of Oak.

He stated that he had returned the Ghc2,000 which was given to him by Hearts when he held contractual talks with them recently.

Toure, therefore, appealed to soccer fans to stop spreading rumours that he had absconded with Hearts’ money.

The Ivorian goal poacher trekked to Accra some weeks ago to hold possible contractual talks with Hearts.

Toure was so close to signing for Hearts and even featured and scored a goal for the Phobians in the Top 4 Tournament.

The attacker noted that he traveled to Accra with his own money to commence talks with Hearts’ management.

He said after featuring in a game for Hearts, the club’s management gave him Ghc2,000 to fly to his native Ivory Coast.

Speaking with Ultimate Radio in Kumasi, the attacker said he was not enthused about Hearts’ offer so he changed his mind and signed for Kotoko.

According to the player, he had duly returned Hearts’ money since he signed on the dotted lines for Kotoko.

“Even the Hearts accountant called to thank me when he received the money,” he said.

Toure said he is a staunch Muslim, who prays fervently to Allah five times a day, noting that his prayers had enhanced his game.

On a lighter note, the attacker noted that he loves the song of Hip Life artiste, Castro.
