2014 Accra MILO Marathon postponed

Nestlé Ghana Limited, official sponsors of the Accra MILO Marathon in collaboration with the Dansoman Keep Fit Club, announces the postponement of the 2014 Accra MILO Marathon which was scheduled to take place on 20 September 2014.

This is in line with concerted efforts by respective stakeholders to prevent the outbreak or incidence of Ebola Virus Disease (EVD) in Ghana.

Nestlé Ghana is committed to the development of sports in the country. This commitment is evident in examples like the Accra MILO Marathon, which has been held for the past 27 years and achieved international status. In 2013 alone, more than 8000 Ghanaian and international athletes took part in the event.

Over the years, the brand MILO has helped to produce sporting talents for the country through various sports fraternities. Earlier this year, MILO organized the qualifier for the U-13 African Championship in Kumasi and also sponsored the winning team to the grand event in Nigeria.
