Appiah, technical staff denied per diems and bonuses

Footy-ghana understands that the Ghana Football Association did not pay former Black Stars head coach Kwesi Appiah and members of his technical team any per diems or match winning bonuses after the 2015 African Nations Cup double header against Uganda and Togo.

According to our well-placed sources, the technical team was completely ignored as the GFA gave only the players a cheque for $10,000 each, representing the match-winning bonus for the 3-2 victory over Togo on Wednesday.

Footy-ghana.com gathers that initially the GFA tried to pay each player the cedi equivalent of $10,000 via cheques, but the playing body rejected those cheques and demanded that the money be paid in dollars.

Our sources reveal that eventually each player was handed a cheque worth $10,000.
