2019 AFCON: Benin out to upset Cameroon in Group F

Benin have two points from 2 matches Benin have two points from 2 matches

The Indomitable Lions of Cameroon will face Benin in the last Group F game of the ongoing 2019 AFCON at the Ismailia Stadium on Tuesday.

Cameroon look set to progress to the last 16 of the Africa Cup of Nations but will want to ensure they qualify in style rather than leaving it to chance.

The defending Champions are sitting at the summit of the group with four points, two more than their Tuesday opponents.

They are currently on the run of eight games unbeaten in the African Cup of Nations.

A win for Benin would throw the group wide open as they would leapfrog Cameroon to the summit of the group.

The Squirrels are still in search of their first ever win in the African Cup of Nations and a historical win will be a perfect way to qualify to the run of 16.

Only Mozambique (12) have appeared in more Africa Cup of Nations games without winning than Benin (11 – D3 L8).

However, Benin are still unbeaten in the competition this year with two draws.

A draw can still take Michel Dussuyer’s side to the next stage depending on the results.

Head to Head

Benin and Cameroon have played each other twice with the Indomitable Lions claiming victory on both occasions.

Team News

Clarence Seedorf has no injury concerns in camp.

Captain Choupo Motin is expected to come back into starting line up after starting from the bench against Ghana.

Michel Dussuyer is expected to maintain his team after a dominant performance against Guinea-Bissau.
