Official Rules
CONTEST DESCRIPTION: The game tests your ability to predict the outcome of Ghana2008 football matches. The contest begins on December 18, 2007, and ends on January 19, 2008 ("Contest Entry Period"). No new contestants allowed after closing date.
ELIGIBILITY: Open to all over 16 year olds. One entry per person . If we detect multiple registrations by any contestant, he/she will be banned from the competition and will forfit any possible winnings.
HOW TO PARTICIPATE:
- Register
- Email will be sent to you to validate your account. You will not be able to log in until your account is validated. Click on link in mail and logon
- You can either play for Fun or PLAY TO WIN
If you want to play to win then after logging on check the left side menu; click on "My profile" and make sure you have your legal name, valid address & phone number. Failure to include any of the three means you're playing for fun.
- Predict the outcome of ALL the matches. (Knock Stage matches will be added later)

Scoring
|
Points are awared as follows (only 90 minutes play considered):
- 6 Points for a correct score. i.e. you predict 3-1 and the result is 3-1.
- 3 Point for a correct result. You predict 1-1, the score is 2-2.
- 1 Points for predicting the correct number of goals by at least one team.
- 0 Points for a incorrect result. i.e. you predict 3-1 and the result is 1-3.
Goal Difference
- For each correct teams number of goals you score, you receive that number of +goals. e.g. you predicit 2 and the team scores 2, you get +2 goals.
- For each incorrect number of goals you predict per team, you lose the difference in goals. e.g. you predict 3 and the team scores 2, you get -1 goals.

WINNING

A prediction table will be made available for all to see the winners at all stages of the competition

This is for the contenstant that gets over 300 points.
Only one contestant can win this price. Thus, in event of a tie, the Entries involved in the tie are subject to a draw, which will take place live on Ghanaweb.com. In the event no contestant gets the grand prize
- First prize ($500): Contestant topping the table at the end of the competition. In the event of a tie, the Entries involved in the tie are
subject to a draw, which will take place LIVE on ghanaweb.com. Decision
of judges are final.

IMPORTANT: Update your profile, if you want to participate to win cash. Click the My Profile link from the left hand column, when you are logged in
WINNERS NOTIFICATION: Grand or first, second and third Prize Winners will be notified by a phone call and via email. All winners will be required to provide an affidavit of Eligibility and identity. If winner fails to do so within 20 days of prize notification, the winner will be disqualified and an alternate winner will be selected based upon the judging criteria.
