The Ministry of Lands, Forestry and Mines exists to ensure the sustainable management and judicious utilisation of the nations Lands Forestry and Wildlife resources for Socio-economic development and equitable growth of Ghana.

Objectives:

To develop and manage sustainably Lands, Forest and Wildlife Resource.
To facilitate equitable access, benefit sharing form and security to Land and Forest Resources.
To promote public awareness and local communities participation in sustainable management and utilisation of Forest, Wildlife and land use management.
To review, update and consolidate existing legislation and policies affecting natural resource management.
To promote and facilitate effective private sector participation in Land Service delivery, Forest and Wildlife resource management and utilisation.
To develop and maintain effective institutional capacity and capability at the national, regional, district and community level for land, forest and wildlife service delivery.
To develop and research into problems of Land, Forest and Wildlife resource and land use.
To reduce tensions between Government and customary landowners foster good governance in Land administration by internalising measures for participatory management, accountability, transparency and to enhance private sector participation.
To boast supply of lands for Agricultural growth for rural development and increase investments in urban Land.
