GPCC commends Ghanaians for sense of maturity during elections

The Ghana Pentecostal and Charismatic Council (GPCC) on Saturday commended Ghanaians for the high sense of maturity exhibited so far during this year’s Presidential and Parliamentary Polls.

According to the Council, it had observed with “satisfaction and gratitude to the Almighty God that, despite the challenges encountered during the electoral process, the voting process had gone on successfully with very minimum hitches recorded.”

In a statement signed by Apostle Dr Opoku Onyinah, Chairman of the Council in Accra, it further entreated all to exercise restraint whiles the Electoral Commission and the leadership of the various political parties found lasting solutions to the non performing verification machines.

“GPCC wishes to emphasize the need for all to be “Agents of Peace” and continue to respectfully have faith in the Electoral Commission as they steer affairs for this year’s electoral process,” the statement added.

It further appealed to Ghanaians to continue to be tolerant and wait for the final declaration of the poll results by the Electoral Commission (EC).

The council observed that the Electoral Commission had announced that all eligible voters who had not as yet exercised their franchise because of the challenges would be allowed do so.
