Mid-West Ghana Conference Chapter of Adventist Men inaugurated

Sunyani (B/A), June 6, GNA - The Mid-West Ghana Conference Chapter of the National Director of Adventist Men Organization was inaugurated in Sunyani at the weekend.

The organisation is charged with the responsibility of mobilizing the abilities, professions, skills, talents and resources of adult male members of the Seventh Day Adventist Church (SDA) for the work of God.

Pastor Dr. Thomas Techie Ocran, National Director of the Organization, enjoined members of the group to work hard to win more souls for Christ. He also asked them to harness their spiritual and professional skills, to enhance development, community service and outreach programmes of the Church.

Pastor Dr. Ocran advised the members to desist from using the group for partisan politics or ethnic tendencies, to avoid division in the Church. Pastor Dr. Ocran asked executives of the Chapter to be dedicated to the work of God and exhibit humility, which he said were key attributes of good leaders.

Mr. Prince Obeng Asante, Deputy Director of Ghana Nuts Limited, said Jesus 93had a vision, remained focused, creative and innovative, took difficult decisions, had a succession plan, empowered women and stayed in touch with God".

Mr. Abraham Peter Mensah of the Directorate of Sabbath School and Spirit of Prophecy SDA, charged Christians to take their civic responsibility and franchise important.

He noted that most Christians had relegated their civic responsibilities to the background, and were only interested in their spiritual well-being, a situation he said was unchristian.

Pastor Daniel Oduro-Sarpong, President of Mid-West Ghana Conference, asked members to live in unity and love.
