Ga Rural Bank, World Vision donate to Ga District Farmers' Day

Accra, Nov. 4, GNA - Two institutions, Ga Rural Bank and World Vision Ghana, on Thursday presented items worth 28 million cedis towards the celebration of the Ga District Farmers' Day scheduled for Kwakupamfo on Thursday.

Mr Samuel Larkai, Manager of the Ga Rural Bank, presented 75 pairs of Wellington boots and 14 bicycles worth 20 million cedis and Mrs Victoria Norgbey, Area Development Programme Manager of World Vision Ghana, presented 20 leisure chairs worth eight million cedis for the Day.

Mr Larkai said the Bank was prepared to assist farmers with loans and training to enable them to improve on their farming methods and help increase production once they met the bank's conditions.

Mr Larkai said every year the bank contributed towards the celebration of the Day, as the work of the farmer needed a lot of recognition.

Mr Samuel Nee-Ayeetey Atoh, Ga District Chief Executive, thanked the donors for their support. 04 Nov. 04
