The doors of Game Kumasi open today 20 April at 9am for the very first time, and in honour of this exciting and historical moment, the store followed the Game group’s tradition of making a donation in support of children’s education in the nearby community.

The new Game store is at Shop 53, Kumasi City Mall, 1 Lake Road, Asokwa Industrial Area, Asokwa, Kumasi.

Game has always been committed to supporting Early Childhood Development in the communities surrounding each store. In celebration of the opening of Game Kumasi, and as a responsible corporate citizen, Game is giving back to the children of Kumasi by donating 11 Game Tools2Teach kits to New Asafo Basic School.

Each kit comprises a box containing classroom tools which has been compiled by educators to facilitate learning. The donation, which is valued at a total of GHS 3,500, will equip learners with items such as scissors, glue sticks, crayons, paint, pencils, pens and rulers.

Game first opened its doors in Accra in 2007, and - boosted by a vote of consumer confidence through the success of this first store - the group has now expanded its presence in Ghana to open a second discount megastore in the city of Kumasi.

Game Kumasi is the 185th Game store to open in Africa, and the Game footprint now extends to 12 countries across Africa.
