Mmarima Mma congratulates Prof. Samuel Nii Odai

The national executives, board of patrons and the entire membership of Mmarima Mma (Koforidua SecTech Old-Students' Association) wish to congratulates one of our own and currently the Pro Vice Chancellor of Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Professor Obarima Ba Samuel Nii Odai, for his successful induction into the prestigious Ghana Academy of Arts and Sciences (GAAS) at an induction ceremony on Monday 17th November, 2014 at the British Council.

He was among 6 distinguished Ghanaian academicians like Dr. Ashitey Trebi-Ollenu of NASA, Rev Prof. James Darkwa, Prof. Ebenezer Ashibey-Berko, etc, who have all excelled in various disciplines of arts and sciences.

Obarima Ba Prof. Nii Odai's international works on Water Resources Engineering and many other works created the space for him to be nominated for interview, assessment and to get him voted by 2/3 of GAAS membership; hence, finally inducted.

President of GAAS, Prof Francis K. Allotey, world renowned mathematician, implored them to use their expertise to serve mother Ghana and human kind in the 21st century of technological advancement.

This feet is no mean achievement and we say congratulation for flying the flag of mother Sectech high, indeed you are an example of our motto “educate for service".
