Tema to see major development soon - TMA

The Tema Metropolitan Assembly (TMA) has said it would by the end of the year experience massive development.

Mr Isaac Ashai Odamtten, Tema Metropolitan Chief Executive, who announced this at a media briefing, said the spread of development would be even as all the three constituencies in the Metropolis would have their fair share.

Mr Odamtten said the Assembly was carrying out projects in Tema East, Tema Central and Tema West.

He said in the Tema West Constituency, the TMA was constructing a Community-based Health Planning and Services Compound (CHPS) at Adjei-Kojo, kitchen projects for the Batsonaa School, and the Industrial Basic School at the Mexico School.

In Tema Central, a kitchen project at Community Eight was 20 per cent complete while a market project at Tema Manhean in the Tema East constituency was 65 per cent complete, he said.

The MCE said his outfit had invested massively in security through the rehabilitation of almost all the streetlights from Community One to 12 to improve illumination at night.

Mr Odamtten appealed to residents to immediately report any faulty streetlight corridor to the Assembly for repair because ensuring security is a shared responsibility.

He noted that the first two Police posts at Adjei-Kojo were almost complete while materials were on site for the commencement of the Community Six Police Post.
