uniBank donates to Ghana National Fire Service

The Corporate Banking Department of uniBank Ghana Limited, at the weekend donated GH¢ 16, 387.50 to Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS), to support the rehabilitation of the Accra Regional Command.

Mr Christopher Nettey Team Leader, Business Support Services, uniBank said the presentation which forms part of the company’s corporate social responsibility was also to initiate a healthy relationship with the service.

He said the bank understands the importance of the GNFS in public protection and thus found it necessary to support it to rehabilitate the command that would serve the needs of the public.

Mr Nettey expressed the hope that the bank would always be available to support the service.

Brigadier General John Bosco .E. Guyiri, Chief Fire Officer, who received the donation expressed appreciation to the bank for believing in the GNFS and finding it necessary to partner the personnel for the rehabilitation process.

He said the service barely receives support from corporate services and said he is hopeful that the donation would form the bases of a much stronger and cordial relationship between both entities.

Brig Guyiri appealed to corporate Ghana to support and sponsor the service to be able to manage bush fires as this has been a major concern to the organisation.
