Upper West Police undergo training

A section of some selected police personnel drawn from the various parts of the Upper West Region at a promotional training course held at Wa last Saturday.

The one-week training, which was aimed at enhancing quality service delivery among the personnel, was attended by 30 men and two women from the other ranks.

They were taken through topics such as duties of station officer, escape of prisoners, uniform turn-out, complaints by members of the service and salutation.

Other topics treated were; use of firearm, security of armoury, property lost, record keeping, types of leave, major and minor offence, central adjudicating panel and arrest, search and democratic policing.
