Calm returns to Yilo-Naayili
Calm has returned to Yilo-Naayili in the Savelugu-Nantong district of the Northern Region where fresh clashes erupted between two Dagomba clans yesterday.
One person died as a result of the clashes while 29 suspects were arrested.
The Assemblyman for Yilo-Naayili Mr. Nkansah Samuel in an interview said, “Calm has returned to our community and there is no problem.”
He appealed to the residents the chiefs and people of Yilo-Naayili and Kunbong-Naayili to exercise maximum restraint in solving their grievances.
Meanwhile, the Northern Regional Police Command has hinted of arraigning the 29 suspects before the law Court on Thursday.
