Do not look down on people who serve under you – Hamilton

The Proprietor of the Light of World Preparatory School at New Apraku in the Greater Accra Region, Mrs Esther Hamilton has advised people in authority not to look down on people who serve under them no matter their condition.

She said people in authority should eschew pride and pomposity in their dealings with people.

Mrs Hamilton gave the advice when she donated food items, toiletries and cash to the inmates of the prison camp at Awutu.

She appealed to Ghanaians to help those in need, saying, “try as much as possible to be your brother’s keeper.

The educationist said the birth of Jesus Christ in the manger was to teach and remind mankind about humility. “We should not see the birth of Jesus only as coming to save mankind from his sins and reconcile us to God but importantly to teach us to be humble and kind to people who are in need of help”, she stressed.

She said “God could have conjured a nice place for His only Son to be born there but, He saw to it that the Son was born at a miserable place.”

Mrs Hamilton said it was better for people to give support to those who could not pay them back.

She commended the prison warders and inmates for the peaceful atmosphere prevailing at the camp, and appealed to the inmates to reform before leaving the camp.

“Try to give your life to God and depend on Him to provide you with your needs and desist from engaging in evil acts”, Mrs Hamilton advised.
