A timely cautionary measures like this a justifiably competent & efficient way to eliminate preventable diseases simple statistics indicates -- low productivity of the economic growth abounds & in poor sanitation & lack of basic needs evidenced all over the country. Supporting the Millennium Development Goal by the appeal from GWJN [ group of journalist ] & statistics of the [ WSP ] Water & Sanitation Programme is a failed programmes initiated & funds allocated siphoned into individual pockets.I pause to ask GWJN that the state of sanitation in the country is blamable on the Government & those institutionalised groups like -- the media / local govt. -- When a nation level of sanitaion gets to this poorer state it means something is wrong.Local Govt. & Environmental Health department unable to do their work 'cos of Parliament failure to back them with Powers they need & providing funds to provide infrastructures & amenities / facilities & beyond that focus on the Law Enforcement of Sanitation Bye Laws & Regulations & Punishing Offenders. People do not see the importance of sanitation & point accusing fingers on the naked Health Officers who are not respected in any way than the Bank Officials yet all these professionals are part of the problem 'cos they have their place of work more furnished than the public places. GWJN / WSP / MDG all know what to do by co-ordinating with the Environmental Health / Local Govt. Priority to water & sanitation go to Environmental Health & no where else.Government of the past 30 yrs. failed to tackle this simple task of elevating standards of living to Clean Environment & nothing else. Do one come across open drains -- incinerators - un - paved pedestrian walk & littering in Europe & USA !!. !!!.Let MP's give power to Enviromental Health Officers & u'll see an improvement & progress in Health standards.Think Ghana & the Rule of Law -- we have so many un-ruly lots among us -- we need Guys who are disciplined -- oh Ghana -- come again Kwame Nkruma & Motorway -- Tema Township. what again can the other leaders show as an achievement & success only My Party -- Party -- Party. We need Discipline & Truthful Citizens -- HHeey -- Mr. President get the Country from this dirty indiscriminate defaecation out now before plague of diseases takes it toll on the people.Ghana a sorry place to live -- comparison & measuring ourselves will not do us any good until respect to each other & getting the application right else we doom selves.
