Baba Jamal promises to help develop Denkyembuor District

The Member of Parliament (MP) for Akwatia constituency, in Denkyembuor District of the Western Region, Mr Baba Jamal, has called for unity and co-operation to ensure the development of the area.

Mr Jamal, who was speaking at National Democratic Congress (NDC) victory rally at Akwatia, promised to work with zeal, humility, and dedication towards the progress of the area.

He said: ``As MP for the constituency, I will be at the service of everyone and I will discharge my duties to all, irrespective of your party affiliations ``, and assured the people that his doors would be opened to them.

Mr Jamal promised that he would ensure the building of a bridge over the Birim River, to facilitate socio-economic activities, and construction of water supply system for Akwatia and its environs.

He noted that the people of Akwatia and Kusi through communal labour and voluntary contributions of money built a road up to the Birim River in the early 1990s.

Mr Jamal paid courtesy calls on the chiefs and elders of Boadua and Akwatia, who pledged their supports for the MP.
