Millennium City Estate gets new police station

Mr Kofi Asmah, Chief Executive Officer of 21st Century Construction Company, has constructed a police station with officers quarters for the people of Millennium City near Kasoa in the Central Region.

He has also donated a new Tata Double Cabin Pick-up, worth about 30,000 Ghana cedis, to the police to be used at the station.

The Deputy Commissioner Of Police (DCOP) Andoh Koffie, Central Regional Police Commander, and Dasebre Kwebu Ewusi VII, President of the Central Regional House of Chiefs, jointly inaugurated the fully furnished station that cost 150,000 Ghana cedis.

Mr Kofi Asmah expressed appreciation to the Police Administration, especially the Central Regional Command, for its immense contribution towards the establishment of the station.

He said the government alone could not solve the acute housing problems confronting the nation hence the intervention of his company to construct the estate and the police station.

DCOP Koffie said Kasoa, being densely populated, needed additional police stations in other nearby towns to help reduce the crime wave.

He assured the residents of the Millennium City Estate that the police would do everything possible to ensure their safety.

He, therefore, appealed to them to cooperate with officers and give them information on any suspicious characters that may be seen in the area.

Dasebre Kwebu Ewusi commended the 21st Century Construction Company for the kind gesture and said it would go a long way to help the police personnel to work effectively.
