Institution of Incorporated Engineers visit accident site at Achimota

The Institute of Incorporated Engineers (IIE), at the weekend suggested the need for government to inaugurate the Board of the Engineering Council to enable members to implement all national engineering policies.

Mr Eric Ankrah, President of IIE made the suggestion when he led a team to visit the disaster hit Achimota Melcom Shopping Mall in Greater Accra at the weekend.

He told the Ghana News Agency that said the tragic incident as well as other disasters such as fire outbreaks could be minimise if the council is in place. Mr Ankrah appealed to the public especially estate developers to engage the services of competent engineers.
