Offinso training college old students lauded

Offinso (Ash), June 4, GNA - The Old Students Association of Offinso Teacher Training College has been lauded for its immense contribution towards the provision of facilities to improve teaching and learning. Nana Asiedu Opoku II, Principal of the College, told the Ghana News Agency on Friday that apart from donating teaching and learning materials, tools and equipments, the association also actively participates in the college's activities and programmes that served as role models to the current crop of students.

Nana Asiedu Opoku, who is the chief of Kokote, a suburb of Offinso, appealed to the association to assist the management provide dormitories, classrooms and accommodation for teachers. He said the college, which was established about 50 years ago, has trained more than 10,000 students.

Nana Asiedu Opoku said the college would celebrate its Golden Jubilee in October and called on the old students to participate in programmes that have been planned to commemorate the occasion.
