The indigenous concern youth of Ejisu – Akyawkrom in Ejisu- Juabeng municipality in Ashanti region has stage a massive demonstration against traditional authorities in the community for not showing much commitment in addressing their developmental challenges.

The demonstration is dubbed ”We want equity)” to express utmost disappointment in their chief NANA OSEI TUTU ANPEM II.

According to them, they want partnership between the Chinese investor in which the community will own a share and also benefit.

They added that ,over 20 years since he enstooled as chief, he hasn’t contributed much towards developmental project to benefit the community but what will suit his own selfish interest and over million of cedis have been earned from the sale of lands,but curiously, the level of development in the community conspicuously does not commensurate with a number of monetary resources the chief has by laid hands on.

The group has, therefore, petitioned the Ashantihene Otumfour Osei Tutu ll to intervene in ensuring that calm is restored Akyewkrom and Asenua because the situation not only worrying but also embarrassing even part of the community cemetery school lands has been sold.

They have expressed great concerns about the poor state of their roads, community centre, 6 unit classroom black, and luck of toilet facilities.
