Over 2,000 workers of Ayum Forest Products Limited at Goaso in the Asunafo Municipality of the Brong Ahafo Region are calling on President Akufo-Addo to help them receive their 11-month unpaid salaries.

The aggrieved workers used the launching of the ‘Planting for Food and Jobs’ project at Goaso by President Akufo-Addo to register their displeasure about how they have been treated over the 11 months.

Convener of the aggrieved workers, George Adjei Boadi, in an interview revealed that the company has failed to pay the workers over the last 11 months making life unbearable for them.

"Life has become hell for the over 2,000 workers of Ayum. Taking care of our families is a major headache, we can't pay our children's school fees, they are dropping out of school. We know President Akufo-Addo is a listening person and we believe he would come to our aid,” Mr. Boadi disclosed.
