Work begins on Peseato-Akora Darko road

Peseato (E/R), Feb. 12, GNA - The Fanteakwa District Assembly in conjunction with the Ghana Highway Authority has started work on an 8-kilometre feeder road from Peseato to Akora Darko, near Begoro. The work includes re-shaping, re-surfacing and tarring. The chief of Peseato, Bafour Kwasi Afrifa I, briefing the Ghana News Agency (GNA) said Peseato was a farming community noted for the production of foodstuffs, citrus and vegetables.

He said the rehabilitation of the road would facilitate the transportation of products from the community to Akora Darko. Bafour Afrifa said the road became un-motorable during the raining season and expressed the people's gratitude to the District Assembly for executing the project.

Bafour Afrifa also appealed to the District Assembly to work on school buildings and provide furniture to improve teaching and learning since some pupils become truants due to inadequate facilities in the schools.
