Two die in motorbike accident

Two young men on Sunday afternoon died when their speeding motor bike crashed into a Ford Transit Van at Dodowa in the Greater Accra Region.

The bodies of the deceased, whose names were only given as Isaac and Yawson, have since been deposited at Police hospital morgue.

An eyewitness said the motor collided with the oncoming van with registration number ER 2087 14, while negotiating a sharp curve.

The eyewitness said the two people on the motor bike died on the spot, while the driver of the van sustained minor injuries.

Kofi Twum, a friend of the victims, told the Ghana News Agency that they all visited Dodowa for a festival and went to Accra to have lunch.

He said Isaac and Yawson, however, decided to take the lead as they were on a motorbike and was, therefore, shocked to see the two lying dead just few minutes after parting ways.
