New Edubiase MP condemns attack on police

New Edubiase (Ash), March 15, GNA - Mr Ernest Kofi Yakah, the Member of Parliament (MP) for New Edubiase, has condemned the unknown gangsters believed to be Indian hemp smokers, who attacked police personnel at New Edubiase some few weeks ago.

The MP described the incident as unfortunate and inhuman and said such acts on the part of the youth should be condemned totally. Mr Yakah commended the New Edubiase police for their efforts to reduce the rate of Indian hemp smoking in the area.

The MP noted that the situation was getting out of hands in the town and said instead of the youth concentrating on their studies seriously, they had taken to wee smoking.

He, therefore, advised the youth to desist from the practice, saying, they risked getting brain problems. The MP asked the youth to direct their energies towards useful agricultural ventures to improve on their living and also support the development of the area.

He promised to support the police in their efforts to combat wee smoking and other social vices in the constituency.
