NGO presents books to OLAM SSS

Tema, Oct. 31, GNA - Soul Save International (SSI), a Canadian-based Non-Governmental Organisation with an agency in Ghana, on Friday presented a consignment of books estimated at 120 million cedis to Our Lady of Mercy (OLAM) Senior Secondary School (SSS) in Tema. Mr Andrew Nandy, Director of SSI, who presented the books, cautioned the students to take proper care of them so that they will benefit others in the future.

"I will not be happy to see some pages removed from the books at the library when I next visit the school, and I can be encouraged to add more if I find that they are properly preserved," said Mr Nandy. Mrs Robetta Apau, Headmistress of the school, who received the books, expressed her gratitude to the SSI and said the donation would greatly enhance the school's library stock.

Reverend Father Aloysius Hoguth, Parish priest of OLAM Catholic Church at Tema Community one, advised the students to show their appreciation and justify the donation by taking their studies seriously.
