NDC supporters to make ensure their qualified children register

Koforidua, Feb. 23, GNA - The Eastern Regional Secretariat of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has embarked on a programme to educate its supporters to register massively when the Voters Register is opened in March.

The Deputy Regional Secretary of NDC, Mr Ben Komla Dogbe, during one of the education programmes at Koforidua - Srodae on Sunday, called on supporters to ensure that their adolescents of 18 years and above register and vote for the party to recapture power in December. Mr Dogbe said the voters registration exercise was for every qualified Ghanaian citizen.

He expressed dissatisfaction that only 3,000 cameras would be used during the exercise and said it was a ploy by the NPP to disenfranchise supporters of the NDC.

Mr Dogbe asked NDC supporters who would be denied the opportunity to register to protest vehemently and register.

He said the NPP had deceived Ghanaians since it came to power and had brought untold hardship on the ordinary people, citing exorbitant school fees, high fuel prices, high electricity and water bills and the re-deployment of a chunk of competent civil and public servants to be replaced by "incompetent NPP favourites."

Mr Dogbe urged NDC supporters to be proud that they belong to a formidable party and must be vocal in their utterances to counter the blatant lies of the NPP government.
