Global Media Foundation Launches “Let There Be Peace 2012” Campaign

A human rights and anti-corruption media advocacy organization in Sunyani, Global Media Foundation, in collaboration with the Coalition of Christian Youth Against Electoral Violence, Right Path Africa and Glorious Victory Ministries, have launched a peace campaign dubbed “LET THERE BE PEACE 2012”

Mr. Raphael Godlove Ahenu the Chief Executive Officer of the Global Media Foundation, said “LET THERE BE PEACE 2012” campaign, campaign is to provide the general public especially the youth the opportunity to acquire basic knowledge related to peace, virtues such as discipline, civility, compassion, tolerance and respect for others and also learn to act in peaceful manner.

He noted that, this would help to ensure violence free elections in December. The campaign would also focus on education and voter information to enable the electorate especially, the rural folk to better understand their rights and make informed choices in the December elections

Mr. Ahenu, advised Ghanaians youth not to allow politicians to use them for their selfish gain, adding that “war is not a good thing so politicians should stop trumpeting it and know that any bad thing they will do, they will render account to their maker”.
