Eusbett Hotel builds three storey conference centre

The
management of Eusbett Hotel is constructing a one-stop conference centre, the
first of its kind in any hotel in the nation.

The
three storey facility has seven meeting rooms with capacities ranging from 20
to 1,800. The centre also has syndicate rooms, board rooms for corporate board
meetings, a large restaurant, a larger laundry and a water processing and bottling
plant.
This
was announced by the Managing Director of the hotel, Mr Sam Bennet during the hotel’s
staff dinner and awards night in Sunyani
Mr
Bennet noted that the hotel is also putting up a new accommodation facility for
its employees. This structure would be commissioned in February, 2013. He also
said he has started a special scheme dubbed “The MD’s Special Award”. Under
this scheme, the MD gives plots of land to hard working, loyal and dedicated
staffs. In 2012, two employees, Kwame Ansu and Newell
Azumah, benefited from the scheme.
He
therefore urged all staff to redouble their efforts and be in a position for
this award. Apart from the MD special award, the hotel has the quarterly
“Employee of the Quarter” awards introduced in 2012. The MD said all these
efforts are geared towards building a very loyal, dedicated and motivated team
capable of lifting Eusbett Hotel to the very top in the hospitality industry in
Ghana.
The
General Manager of the hotel, Mr Robert Mensah, pointed out that the Hotel has
gradually been positioned as one of the leading hotels for workshops, seminars
and conferences.
He
said in the past year, the hotel hosted a great number of high profile meetings
including some international conferences.
In
so doing, the hotel has helped open the Brong-Ahafo region to people outside
the region who may have never visited the region but for a meeting at Eusbett
hotel.
Mr
Mensah noted that because of Eusbett Hotel, the peaceful and beautiful city of
Sunyani is now being referred to by many as the “conference destination of
Ghana”.
Over
the years, it has been the vision of the management of Eusbett Hotel to
transform the Hotel into a well-integrated corporate establishment.
A
couple of years ago, it established a water processing and bottling plant to
produce Eusbett branded bottled water for in-house use.
In
2012, this vision was carried a step further with the addition of a poultry
farm to the existing cattle ranch.
This
year, management plans to add a vegetable farm to its existing sources of
supply.
This
way, the hotel is able to control the standards and quality of the sources of
our inputs and supply, making use of professional and expert agriculturalist.
This
also helps to reduce the cost of operations and subsequently offer competitive
prices to our clients.

Mr.
Mensah gave assurance that in 2013, Eusbett Hotel is well positioned to
continue its leadership in the hospitality in the Brong-Ahafo and be highly
competitive amongst the leading hotels in the nation.
