Afoko donates to Sandema Secondary Technical School

Businessman and politicians Mr Paul Awentami Afoko, has donated several cartons of assorted textbooks to the Sandema Secondary Technical School in the Builsa District of the Upper East region.

The gesture forms part of his effort in improving the standard of education in the Builsa district which is his home district.

At a donation ceremony over the weekend, Mr Afoko who is also a royal of the Sandema Traditional area, encouraged students to place premium on their studies indicating that it is their surest way of unlocking vast opportunities in the future.

“I wish to urge you all to give up your best and make your parents proud by learning hard in your various courses of study. Education has many potentials but you need to work hard towards unlocking these potentials to become responsible leaders in the future”, he disclosed.

He expressed hope that the text books including literature and novels will be used for the intended purposes.

The Headmaster of the school who received the donation, commended Mr Afoko for the gesture and appealed to individuals and benevolent organizations in the country to emulate his example to improve teaching and learning.

According to him, education is a shared responsibility and therefore appealed to all to contribute in various ways in bettering the lives of students admitted to various second cycle institutions.
