NPP District executive holds election

Amasaman (GA), Oct. 13, GNA - Mr Solomon Richard Oblitei, Regional Vice Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has called on party officials, polling agents and supporters to continue with their house-to-house campaign for the party to win the 2008 elections. He said owing to the numerous infrastructural developments that have taken place during the administration of the NPP government throughout the country the party is on the verge of winning again but urged party faithful not to rest on their oars by sustaining the campaign from now till 2008. Mr. Oblitei gave the advice at A masaman when new executives of the Trobu-Amasaman constituency were elected into office. Mr Samuel Kwadjo Baidoo retained his position as the Constituency Chairman, whilst Mr Abudulai Abubakari became the First Vice-Chairman. Mr Emmanuel Sowah Adjetey took the position of Second Vice-Chairman, Mrs Catherine Tandoh was elected unopposed as Treasury and Nana Owusu Apenteng became the Secretary.

Other members who were retained unopposed were Gertrude Ankrah, Women Organiser; Mrs Florence Naadu Aryee, Rene Kyei Frimpong, Mr Abraham De-Love, Youth Organiser. Mr Kofi Appiah took the post of Organiser and Mr Samuel Adjetey became the Assistant Secretary.

Mr Samuel Nii Aryeetey Attoh, MP for the area and Mr Eric Busby Quartey-Papafio, District Chief Executive commended the electorate for conducting the elections in a peaceful manner.
