Techiman NPP jubilates over Diana’s appointment

Supporters of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) at Tuobodom in the Techiman North Constituency of the Brong-Ahafo Region erupted into wild jubilations when it was announced that their Constituency Women’s Organiser, Madam Dina Karikari, had been appointed the National Deputy Women’s Organiser of the party. Madam Dina Karikari was recently appointed by the National Executive Committee of the NPP as one of the two National Deputy Women’s Organisers.

Speaking to DAILY GUIDE, the immediate past NPP Constituency Organiser of Techiman North, Peter Mensah, said the constituency is very grateful to the party for seeing the good things in the lady and appointing her to that office.

He said with the appointment of Madam Karikari to such a high office in the party, he hoped the Techiman North seat will be grabbed by the party come 2016.

When DAILY GUIDE contacted Madam Karikari, she said she was very surprised because all along she never knew that what she has been doing for the party has caught the attention of the party’s top echelon.

She noted that a position like this comes with huge responsibilities, adding that she is going to work hard to make sure that the party captures power in 2016 so that Ghanaian women in particular will once again enjoy the good things that the NPP, under President Kufuor, brought to them, especially Free Maternal Care.

Madam Karikari seized the opportunity to admonish all Constituency Women’s Organisers to gird their loins and prepare for the battle royal because the 2016 elections will not be a child’s play. According to her, since the Brong-Ahafo Region is one of the deciding regions as far as elections in Ghana are concerned, she is not going to leave any stone unturned in her bid to grab the region for the NPP come 2016. She further charged all NPP women to put their hands on the wheel and start the campaign now since there is no time to lose.

Madam Dina Karikari thanked the National Executive Committee and Madam Otiko Djaba, who nominated her, and promised not to disappoint them.
