A member of the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC) is incensed about what she says is the misconduct of the Member of Parliament of the area, Emmanuel Nii Ashie-Moore.
In a strong worded statement, Hajia Asaana described the MP as an “international lair” bent on destroying her hard won reputation.
Her reaction comes after Nii Ashie-Moore alleged that Hajia had slapped him during the confirmation of Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), Benjamin Baroson Angenu.
He indicated that Hajia Asaana gave him three dirty slaps for supporting the MCE against her preferred candidate.
“I didn’t hit her back because she is a woman and also old even to be my mother,” he added.
Nii Ashie-Moore said due to Hajia Asaana’s conduct, her appointment to the Assembly has been revoked.
But in a riposte on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen programme on Friday, Hajia Asaana described the allegation as palpable falsehood.
According to her, the baseless claim by Ashie-Moore is part of a grant scheme to get her out of the assembly.
Refuting claims that her appointment has been revoked, the NDC woman stated emphatically that “I decided not to take up that appointment; I was not withdrawn”.
