NDC executives urged to work hard

Mr Lawrence Paa Nii Lamptey, an aspirant of the Effutu Constituency NDC chairmanship, has urged the executives to work hard to ensure success in the 2016 elections.

Addressing an NDC meeting at Winneba, Mr Lamptey said very soon the nation would go to the polls and urged party executives to address all disputes and discontent to prevent a “skirt and blouse” voting.

He said the “skirt and blouse” was where electorates would vote for the President but elect a Member of Parliament from a different political party.

“A defeat in an election through “skirt and blouse” voting put the party into prison for four solid years and it is the most painful experience for a party to endure,” he said.

He urged the executives to avoid activities which could incur the displeasure of electorates to turn against the party.

Mr Lamptey said the executive must educate the electorate on efforts the Government was making to address the challenges facing the country, and appealed to Ghanaians to rally behind the President to achieve that goal.
