The opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) has stated that all is set for its regional elections scheduled for January 25.
The upcoming regional elections is part of a series of elections to be conducted by the NPP ahead of its presidential election later in 2014.
The NPP’s Director of elections, Mr. Martin Adjei Mensah Korsa, told Citi News the few court cases that characterized the recent constituency elections will not affect the upcoming regional elections.
He said all the needed election materials were set and that the Electoral Commission will be supervising the nationwide exercise.
“Preparations are far advanced; everything is in place, ballot papers have been printed and waiting to be dispatched to the various regions by the Electoral Commission officers who are going to supervise the elections.
He said the voting centres will be located in the regional capitals.
