Ehunu Armah Goes For Second Term

• But With A Narrow Escape



The District Chief Executive (DCE) of Gomoa East, Hon. Isaac Kingsley Ahunu-Armah has been confirmed by the members of the assembly to go for a second term in office following his re-appointment by the President, John Dramani Mahama.
With a total number of 39 assembly members present and voting, he secured 26 yes votes out of 39, the required number of votes he needed to sail through which forms exactly two-thirds of the total votes cast.
After the election, the Agona East electoral officer Mr. Moses Tiawuni declared Hon. Isaac Kingsley Ahunu-Armah duly alected and approved.
The District Chief Executive (DCE) of Gomoa East, Hon. Isaac Kingsley Ahunu-Armah, gave a solidarity massage to the members of the assembly and thanked them for their approval of him for a second term.
He again assured those who voted for him and those who did not vote for him that once he has been confirmed, there is work to do and that reason, everyone should rally behind him and support him to uplift the image of Gomoa.
He promised that he would not disappoint the President who nominated him and neither would he do same to the chiefs and people of Gomoa.
He also expressed his gratitude to the Central Regional minister, Hon. Samuel Sarpong for his support even at the expense of his health. He gave appreciation to the traditional authorities who came to support him.
However, before the election of the District Chief Executive (DCE), there were four (4) government appointees who were sworn in by His Worship, Charles Wiafe a Magistrate Court Judge.
The four people are; Dr. Issachar Rufai Ahmed, Mr. Emmanuel Antobam, Nana Aduku Mansa and Nana Budu Kwansah.
The President of the Gomoa Ajumako Traditional Council, Obrempon Nyanful Krampah XI and the President of the Gomoa Akyeampim Traditional Council, Obrefo Ehunako Ahor Ankobea II gave their assurances to the DCE that they should call on them whenever their services are needed. They again thanked the assembly members for responding positively to their advice as they made the election an easy one.
Looking at the support and zeal of the traditional authorities, the Central Regional Minister, Hon. Samuel Sarpong said that local governance now is not the responsibility of the government alone but a collaboration of the government and the traditional authorities and with that he entreated the chiefs to continue to support government business for the betterment of the people.
His Worship, Charles Wiafe led Hon. Isaac Kingsley Ahunu-Armah to take the oath of allegiance and the oath of secrecy as well as the oath of Office.
Finally, The District Chief Executive (DCE) of Gomoa East, Hon. Isaac Kingsley Ahunu-Armah appealed to the traditional authorities to call him to order whenever he errs in one way or the other.
