The Ashanti Regional Chairman of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) Bernard Antwi-Boasiako popularly called ‘Chairman Wontumi’ has advised serial callers and social media communicators of the party to rescind their decision and return to work.

Serial callers of the party on Wednesday laid down their tools not to contribute to discussions or rebut issues being discussed on radio or television stations in the region and other parts of the country.

According to them, they have been neglected by the party hierarchy after toiling for the party to win power.

They have given the party a five-day ultimatum (Wednesday-Sunday) to address their concerns.

Speaking with Kwame Adinkra on Abusua FM’s Abusua Nkommo, he explained that he was unaware of the development but will ensure that a meeting is set between the serial callers and the President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo who will be in the region on Friday.

He called on them to exercise restraint as the the party leadership works around the clock to address their grievances.

Wontumi assured that their toil will hugely be appreciated saying none of the serial callers in other regions have received money as speculated.

‘I have not received any formal complaint but I am pleading with our communicators to immediately return to work. No need to be angry and lay down tools, Nana Addo will be visiting the region because of you. Nana Addo will soon set up factories which will offer employment opportunities to majority of you,you shall be sorted out soon,’ he said.
