Volta Caucus of NDC in Ashanti launches outreach programme

The Volta Caucus of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Ashanti Region had launched an outreach programme to canvass for more votes for the party.

The members would go round the region with the campaign message of the NDC to assist voters to make the right decisions on December 7.

Madam Dzifa Ativo, Deputy Minister of Transport, who performed the launch, called for loyalty and hard work to retain the party in power.

She said they should go from house-to-house to tell the success story of the government and expose the lies and deception of their opponents.

She said although everything pointed to the NDC's victory in the coming general elections, complacency needed to be avoided.

Dr. Kwaku Agyemang-Manu, Regional Minister, urged the party’s members to go out in their numbers to vote, adding that, they should make sure that they cast their ballot early on the day of voting.

He said they should also be vigilant to prevent cheating and all forms of election malpractices and assured members of the caucus of every necessary support.

Mr. Kojo Asamoah, Chairman, said they were determined to do everything to enhance the electoral fortunes of the NDC in the region, which had traditionally been the domain of the opposition.

He said: “We are going to target, especially migrant voters” Mr. Evans Kwabla Ablodeppey, Organizer, said multiple voting would not be tolerated.
