Ofosu-Ampofo calls for unity

Mr. Samuel Ofosu-Ampofo, the Minister of Local Government and Rural Development, has reiterated the call on members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to remain united and work hard to ensure victory in the December polls.

Mr. Ofosu-Ampofo, the NDC parliamentary candidate for Tema West, said this when he addressed rallies at Kanawu and Adjei Kojo and reminded members and supporters of the party that the contributions of every Tom, Dick and Harry was indispensable.

“We need to understand ourselves, close our ranks and work together as one family with a common objective in mind”, he said.

At Kanawa where he met the Zongo Caucus of the party, Mr. Ofosu-Ampofo assured Muslims that the leadership of the party would continue to work in the best interest of the Muslim community.

He told them that if elected as the Member of Parliament for the constituency, he would provide the kind of leadership that would have the welfare of the people at heart.

“We are looking for servant-leaders who are prepared to serve the people, and not to lord it over them.”

At Adjei Kojo, Mr. Ofosu-Ampofo urged members and supporters of the party to sacrifice and die a little to ensure a resounding victory in December.

Alhaji Iddrisu Zakari Alidu, the Member of Parliament for Walewale, appealed to the constituents to vote for the party’s parliamentary candidate and the presidential candidate to accelerate the development of the area.

Mr. Samuel Fleischev-Kwabi, Municipal Chief Executive for Suhum, urged members and supporters of the party to propagate the development projects NDC had undertaken in the last three and half years in order to convince majority of Ghanaians to renew the party’s mandate in December.
