NPP members applaud Mahama's choice of Daannaa

Even though , members of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) are not attending the vetting of President John Dramani Mahama’s ministerial nominees, anytime there was vetting, about 28 of them meet at a particular place (name withheld for now) to watch and discussed among themselves how they could have done a better job.

As they watch the vetting of Dr. Henry Seidu Daanna, all the 28 NPP Members of Parliament (MPs) agreed that his performance has vindicated President Mahama’s decision to make him a minister of the Chieftaincy and Traditional Affairs.

Many of them present also concluded among themselves that the performance of the majority MPs at the vetting committee had actually made the Ghanaian public not to miss the NPP MPs, who could have been present at the vetting.

However, some NPP MPs who won in swing constituencies are worried that their absence from the vetting committee are likely to be used against them in the run-up to the 2016 elections
